What are the advantages of having a consultant? * Offers an objective view of all factors (history, personnel, facilities, etc.). * Provides positive suggestions from a "neutral source". * Can state conclusions or suggestions that a pastor may not be able to offer. * Gives quality time to evaluation with a view to a broad perspective.
Recent results from consultations:
* Amarillo, Texas First Church of the Nazarene relocated to new facilities. In the process they started CareRings and had 14 groups within 7 months. * Oilton, Oklahoma First Church of God took 74 people through the initial shepherd/leader training. Within the first 9 months they reached over 130 people weekly in small groups and had more than 30 trained leaders serving. * The Michigan District Sunday School and Discipleship Convention featured CareRings at their convention in August 2007 and 75 % of all pastors who took the training chose to start CareRings to complement and help build their Sunday schools.

There are three basic plans Dr. Slamp offers that cover a wide spectrum of needs:
Basic Plan: The Basic Plan includes three factors... 1.) Initial gathering and evaluation of information. 2.) One on site visit to the church for presentation and future planning. 3.) Follow up with a written summation report with conclusions and suggested "next steps."
Advanced Plan:The Advanced Plan offers a more in depth evaluation (including history) and the additional benefit of 6 months extended phone/email support to any members of the staff or leadership teams.
Comprehensive Plan: The Comprehensive Plan includes everything in the Basic and Advanced Plans. It also includes two visits to the local church: Typically (if the consultation is in the area of small groups, for example) the first trip is an initial introduction to all the staff and leaders/teachers of the local church. The second trip is typically 4 to 5 months later in which the key players are coached and given the complete 8 hours of training to lead small groups in the CareRing system.
Honorarium for all plans are set on a sliding scale established by the size of the congregation, plus expenses.
